Singapore’s government agency for development and space planning called Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) will offer an increase in plot ratio for the CBD (Central Business District) to encourage the change of use in office developments to residential and as well as hotel usage.
With a plan to increase the live-in population within the city’s central under the URA plan. There will be more hotels and private residential plots of lands developed near Marina South, the Downtown Core and Rochor.
This plan will also include the city fringe as well to expand the current CBD.
The CBD will be transformed into a vibrant live and work area for everyone to enjoy to also create a more seamless experience in the city.
With the help of agencies, the government is planning to roll this plan out by 2030.
